Seven soups every Saturday: mango soup recipes

My husband Ted bought a case of special mangoes at an Indian market in New York City last weekend, and that inspired my search for some mango soup recipes in case he tires of eating them like candy right from the box. One of the first soup recipes I shared on Soup Chick was a mango gazpacho soup with shrimp and avocado, and it's still a summer favorite. I had fun searching for mango soup recipes, and found some for ripe mangoes and some for green mangoes, which are popular in Asian cuisines and easy to find in Asian markets.

Seven mango soup recipes caught my eye this week:

Chilled mango-pomegranate-ginger soup, from Words to Eat By

Blueberry mango soup, from Mele Cotte

Gujarati mango soup, from Leite's Culinaria

Carrot-mango soup, from Go Dairy Free

Chilled mango and cucumber soup, from Kahakai Kitchen

Mango cauliflower soup, from Ruchikacooks

Aamer ombol (chilled green mango soup), from eCurry

Find more delicious mango soup recipes on Food Blog Search. Come back every Saturday for seven soup recipes to enjoy any day of the week.

They were Alphonso mangos flown in from India to Jackson Heights, NY. Delicious! These soups look amazing.

Lydia, what a nice collection of mango soups! I have also been buying mangoes by the case at our local Indian market, making mostly smoothies, salsas and just eating mangoes straight up, so love another way to try enjoying this luscious fruit.

Ted, thanks -- I couldn't remember the variety.

Jeanette, one of the things we love about going to New York is shopping at Indian markets in Queens.

Chris, your blueberry mango soup looks amazing!
