Seven soups every Saturday: more soup recipes to make ahead and freeze

Soup Swap

Next Saturday is the 5th National Soup Swap, and I still haven't decided what to bring to my own swap party. Last time, I made a black bean and peach salsa soup that's a favorite in our house, but, like wearing the same evening gown to two formal events (or so I hear), it doesn't seem right to bring the same soup to two Soup Swaps.

Last week I found seven recipes for soups to make ahead and freeze, but I'm always looking for new recipes to try. Here are seven more:

I'd recommend the Rustic Cabbage Soup. After all the spectacular soups people seem to make, something as homely and comforting as this recipe is just the ticket to tone it down for cold evenings at home.

Thank you for including me in the round-up. It's amazing how well bean soups preserve in the freeze. Also thank you for sharing that recipe for Albondigas soup - sounds delicious.
