When you come from a large family that gathers often for potluck parties, you're bound to come across some amazing recipes, and one of those potlucks inspired Kalyn of Kalyn's Kitchen to recreate this slow cooker pork and green chile stew. It's perfect for football season; everything goes into the pot for five hours, which means you can start the stew first thing in the morning, and serve it at halftime. I love spicy food, so the fact that this recipe includes Ro*Tel and extra green chiles really appeals to me. Kalyn suggests that, if you're not a fan of very spicy food, you can leave those chiles out or cut the amount in half. This stew sounds like a winning combination of flavors, and the slow cooker makes it easy.
