Crock pot chili, from Taste and Tell

Crock Pot chili, from Taste and Tell (on Soup Chick).

Whoever first paired football and chili deserves a medal. The two have become inseparable, and the long football season challenges all of us to come up with new chili recipes each week. This early in the season, stick with a good, basic chili recipe, one with beans and beef, like this crock pot chili from Taste and Tell. Toss all of the ingredients into the slow cooker in the morning, and your chili will be ready by halftime.

Get Taste and Tell's recipe for crock pot chili.

I'm thinking about crockpot chili around here too, so I guess it's officially fall.

Kalyn, Fall and chili do seem to go hand-in-hand. Oh, and football, too. Chili was the first thing I made when I bought my first slow cooker, and it's still one of my favorite slow cooker dishes.
