Seven soups every Saturday: asparagus soup recipes

Asparagus-soup1

Okay, I'm not always the most patient person. I can wait forever to find the perfect pair of shoes or the perfect office chair, but I can't stand waiting on line at any restaurant, or the bank, or a government office, for more than a minute. And when it comes to asparagus, well, I have no patience at all. The season usually begins here in Rhode Island in early May, and runs through mid-June, but by April -- especially this year, right now, when everything is weeks ahead of schedule thanks to freakishly warm weather and a mild winter -- I'm ready. Bring on the spears!

Seven asparagus soup recipes caught my eye this week:

Creamy asparagus soup, from Eclectic Recipes

Spinach asparagus soup, from Always Order Dessert

Roasted asparagus soup, from FatFree Vegan Kitchen

Spring asparagus soup with fresh crab, from The Naptime Chef

CrockPot cream of asparagus soup, from A Year of Slow Cooking

Spring minestrone soup, from Simply Recipes

Chilled white asparagus and ginger soup with grilled shrimp, from Flanboyant Eats

Find more delicious asparagus soup recipes on Food Blog Search. Come back every Saturday for seven soup recipes to enjoy any day of the week.
